The City Council in Allentown, N.J., told Mayor Roy Afflerbach, in a memo on Monday, that he should resign if he will not work with them to resolve the financial crisis the city is in. The memo contained suggestions that included thinning out the police administration and calling Afflerbach on “resorting to processes that have not been seen in the city’s history.” The council also accuses the mayor of not being interested in working with anyone to come up with solutions and plans to help the city. http://www.mcall.com/news/yahoo/all-a1_5counciljun29,0,7743711.story?coll=all-aol-yahoo-nws-hed
