Project Engineer Chief

An exciting opportunity has opened up for a professional design engineer to provide oversight of the design and construction of the Park Authority’s CIP and bond projects. Candidate must have diversified experience in Engineering design and project management for both new and renovation projects. Experience in the design of recreation facilities desired. In addition, candidate must be able to use design knowledge to solve environmentally challenging designs that involve the construction of ball field complexes, pools, golf courses, recreation centers, and other park improvements. Position requires an aggressive career minded professional engineer with proven capabilities in project and fiscal management, technical innovation, contract administration, and a people centered focus. Responsibilities include scope development, cost negotiations, management of contract engineers and field surveys, report preparation, organization & management plan development, and strong CADD design capabilities desirable. Bachelor’s degree in Engineering, (Masters degree preferred) combined with 8 – 12 years of experience and strong communication and leadership skills. Must have Virginia PE registration. Hiring Rate:$60,000-$65,000/yr (DOQ) (exempt)
