Rochester?s access bridge
Rochester, N.H.?s $4 million public railroad access bridge helped attract the Albany and Safran LEAP-X Engine Composites Facility, to which the bridge now provides access.
The key to the project?s success was a nimble response and a team of dedicated partners, including Rochester?s Economic and Community Development Department, the New Hampshire Department of Resources, the New Hampshire Business Finance Authority, the Rochester Housing Authority, Great Bay Community College and the University of New Hampshire.
By creating development contracts tied to the property taxes projected on the facility site, the revenue fully covers the infrastructure investment. It is a win-win for Rochester and its now thriving manufacturing industry.
