Next stop: History!
Michael Baxter, marketing director for Tomball, Texas, took this photo of the city's restored train depot and its curator, Ken Walden. Dressed in a historic station agent's uniform, Walden explains to hundreds of school children and tourists who visit the facility throughout the year about the founding of the small Texas town north of Houston and its rise from a railroad community to an oil and gas boom town in the early 1900s. The depot is more than 100 years old and is the centerpiece for festivals and events, and the revitalization of Tomball's downtown.
