Making connections
The International Bridge in Rancho Cordova has been named the 2012 Transportation Project of the Year by the Sacramento Chapter of the American Public Works Association. Completed in 2011, the bridge is the largest infrastructure project in the city since it incorporated in 2003. It crosses federally owned Folsom South Canal and provides a bypass to Highway 50 between Sunrise Boulevard and Mather Field Road. The bridge project also included bicycle and pedestrian passageways and improvements at the International Drive intersections with Kilgore Road and Sunrise Boulevard.
