El Monte Gateway
Ground has been broken for El Monte Gateway, a 14-acre mixed-used development in El Monte, Calif., 12 miles east of downtown Los Angeles. The transit-oriented project is a public/private partnership between the city, Jamboree Housing Corporation, and Grapevine Advisors, the project’s master developer. The mixed-use development "boasts so many tremendous benefits for our entire community and we are thrilled to be able to celebrate this important milestone,” Mayor Andre Quintero said. “This development will translate into the creation of hundreds of jobs, while revitalizing our city and stimulating our local economy. I believe the Gateway project will be a model of smart planning and development in the San Gabriel Valley.”
