DuBois to run
Sheriff Carl DuBois announced his intention to run for a fourth term in the Town of Wallkill, N.Y. He was joined by over 200 supporters, including veterans, elected officials and unions. During his speech, DuBois said he is most proud of the four accreditations the office has received during his tenure. These state and national level accreditations include recognition from the NYS Division of Criminal Justice Services, the American Correctional Association, National Commission on Correctional Health Care, as well as the NYS Sheriff’s Association. Sheriff DuBois and Accreditation Manager Greg Gaetano are currently working to secure the department’s third national accreditation. Through this accomplishment, the Orange County, N.Y., Sheriff’s Office will be one of only 35 of over 3,100 sheriff’s offices nationwide to hold three national accreditations.
