Broward County, Fla., is now a “minority-majority” county, and experts say its government will soon change to represent that shift. Recently released census information shows that blacks and Hispanics together now make up the majority in the county, but only two of the county’s nine commissioners are minorities, according to The Miami Herald. However, blacks and Hispanics make up only 30 percent of the county’s registered voters.
