Getting there with ARRA
The Washington Department of Transportation has contracted with Yakima, Wash.-based Columbia Asphalt & Gravel to pave two stretches of Interstate 90, one from the Yakima River to Ellensburg and the other from Slide Curve to Cabin Creek, using ARRA funding.
The Maine Department of Transportation has contracted with Belmont, N.H.-based Pike Industries to rehabilitate Interstate 295’s northbound lanes.
The Colorado Department of Transportation is expected to contract with low-bidders Denver-based Brannan Sand and Gravel Co. to resurface Interstate 25 in Denver County; with Denver-based New Design Construction to repair and replace concrete slabs along Interstate 70 in Jefferson County; with Rockville, Md.-based Aggregate Industries to resurface parts of State Highway 88 in Arapahoe County; with Golden, Colo.-based Asphalt Paving Co. to resurface parts of U.S. Highway 40 in Jefferson County and to resurface the road and repair bridges along a stretch of I-70 in Eagle and Summit counties.
