A decision by the Oakland A’s baseball team to move to a new stadium in another city may actually benefit Oakland, officials say. The city made virtually nothing from the team and taxpayers could actually save over $1 million a year in the cost of changing McAfee Coliseum from baseball to football use, according to the San Francisco Chronicle. Also, the city says it may be better able to attract other events to the coliseum.
