A shock-absorbent handle, designed to reduce vibration, protects the battery from jarring to further enhance its life. Operators can choose from a rotation-only, hammering with rotation, or hammering-only setting, depending on the work being performed. Makita’s entire rotary hammer kit (Model BHR202) includes two LXT lithium-ion (3.0 ampere-hour) batteries, a 30-minute Rapid Optimum Charger, a depth gauge, a side handle and a contractor bag.
