NLC calling for Great Solutions
The Washington-based National League of Cities (NLC) is calling for Great Solutions to the problems facing American cities. The best ideas will be incorporated into the 2008 Congress of Cities, scheduled for Nov. 11-15 in Orlando, Fla.
Great Solutions submissions are due by June 30. The submissions should focus on specific examples of solutions or research that can be used in learning events at the congress. Solution submitters will be asked to present their ideas either in person or via virtual workshops, webinars or panel discussions. “NLC wants to ensure that our 7,000 Congress of Cities delegates have access to the full spectrum of knowledge about solutions that create stronger cities, which is why we are reaching out to our members to tap their wealth of experience,” NLC President and Madison, Ala., Councilwoman Cynthia McCollum said in a statement.
