Colorado, Maine and Delaware spend more than any other state on preventing children from smoking, according to a report by a coalition of health organizations. The report, “A Broken Promise to Our Children,” was compiled by the Campaign for Tobacco-Free Kids, American Heart Association, American Cancer Society and American Lung Association, according to the Denver Post. The report also revealed that 28 states and the District of Columbia spend half of the minimum amount the U.S. Centers for Disease Control and Prevention recommends for tobacco use prevention programs.
