A Maui County, Hawaii, councilwoman is not moved by the conclusion of an engineering panel that says it is safe to use a water filtration method to draw water from two contaminated wells in the county. The county’s Mayor Alan Arakawa had commissioned the panel to find ways to use the wells, saying the county could use the water in a drought, according to the Honolulu Star Bulletin. Maui Councilwoman Michelle Anderson says the county should look at other options.
