A Superior Court judge has ruled that two lawsuits seeking to quash California’s $3 billion stem cell agency can continue but that plaintiffs had failed to prove that creating the agency is unconstitutional. According to the Los Angeles Times, the chairman of the stem cell agency’s advisory board believes that the judge’s comments on the plaintiffs’ failure will make it easier to obtain financing for the agency, which has been on hold because of the legal challenges.
