A new white paper from the Columbia, Md.-based Enterprise Foundation examines emerging trends in improving the health of low-income families through housing. According to “Healthy Housing, Healthy Families: Toward a National Agenda for Affordable Healthy Homes,” inadequate building materials and methods can cause chronic problems, such as asthma and impeded development. The trends discussed include a lead poisoning prevention movement, community-based organizations and national and regional policymaking groups.
