The Kernersville, N.C., Board of Aldermen voted 3-2 to allow businesses with older signs to update their products without having to replace the signs with newer, smaller ones to meet current town regulations. According to the Winston-Salem Journal, supporters of the tougher regulations say exceptions should not be made that would sidetrack Kernersville from its goal of cutting clutter.
