Superintendent of Public Works
The Village of Champlain, a small village in northeast New York, is accepting applications for the position of Superintendent of Public Works. This position entails administrative work involving responsibility for planning and directing all public works and maintenance activities. Duties include direct supervision of public works employees, purchasing, completion of reports and reporting to the Mayor and Board of Trustees. Applicants must possess technical knowledge of practices and equipment used in public works, good communications skills and experience in supervision of employees. License as Wastewater Treatment Plant Operator and/or Water Plant Operator a plus. Acceptance of employment will require the candidate to move into the Village of Champlain within a reasonable amount of time. Salary based on experience.
