Phoenix debuted new, brightly decorated buses for its downtown circulator service, DASH, in July. The new blue and green paint schemes, intended to draw attention to activities and places downtown, include images of dining, schools and sports, and replace the previous copper-colored coats. The buses’ new appearance complements the city’s efforts to revitalize the downtown area and attract businesses and visitors. As part of the change, the bus routes changed to stop at dining spots, the Arizona State University campus and government business hubs. The service also will connect with a soon-to-launch light rail system.
