Project to expand technology use in Virginia
Public Technology, Inc., and the Virginia Environmental Business Council have received an $80,000 grant from Virginia’s Center for Innovative Technology for a project entitled “Electronic Commerce for Environmental Technologies.” The project will include creating a Web site and conducting focus groups and e-commerce training. The Web site will allow Virginia-based environmental companies to exchange information with government jurisdictions in the commonwealth.
“Local governments in Virginia will be able to reach a wider array of environmental technology vendors and environmental service suppliers that will contribute to increased technology sales and technology usage within the commonwealth,” says Ronda Mosley-Rovi, director of environmental programs for Washington, D.C.-based PTI.
