Financial literacy production planned for National Employee Benefits Day
The Brookfield, Wis.-based International Foundation of Employee Benefit Plans (IFEBP) will hold a free, Web-based broadcast on financial literacy to celebrate National Employee Benefits Day on April 2. IFEBP also will provide information on financial literacy and offer items, including T-shirts and a piggy bank, for sale on its Web site www.ifebp.org.
The Web broadcast production is called “Are Your Plan Participants Financially Savvy? How Proactive Plan Sponsors Can Make a Difference.” IFEBP created National Employee Benefits Day to recognize sponsors of employee benefit plans. “Financial literacy has become a key area of interest for [IFEBP] members,” says IFEBP CEO Michael Wilson. “As benefit plan sponsors, they see significant value in educating their participants in making informed and appropriate financial decisions.”
