Urban Engineers — Robert Wright has joined the Philadelphia-based company as vice president and director of the Municipal Engineering Practice. Previously, he was Philadelphia’s chief engineer and surveyor.
Propex — Mac Bridger has joined the Chattanooga, Tenn.-based company as executive vice president. Previously, he was president and CEO of the Dalton, Ga.-based Tandus Group.
Milton, Ga. — Charles Millican has been named deputy director of public safety for the city’s fire department. Previously, he was deputy fire chief for the Fulton County, Ga., Fire Department.
American Water Resources Association — Jane Rowan, a senior associate for Glen Allen, Va.-based Schnabel Engineering, has been elected 2008 president of the Middleburg, Va.-based association.
The Sidwell Co. — Brent Mainzinger, director of GIS applications for the St. Charles, Ill.-based GIS design company, has been named vice president for business development.
Veolia Environmental Services — Richard Burke, vice president of the Eastern Region for the Houston-based company’s Solid Waste Division, has been named president of the division.
Henrico County, Va. — Karen Mier, assistant director of Parks and Recreation, has been named director of the division.
The Association of Bay Area Governments — Dave Cortese, a San Jose City Councilman, has been appointed to the Metropolitan Transportation Commission of the Oakland, Calif.-based association.
