Director of Utilities
The City of Norman, Oklahoma is seeking an experienced individual with proven leadership and management skills to serve as Director of Utilities. Norman is a university community with a population of over 100,000. The Director manages a $14 million operating budget for water, wastewater and sanitation. The department has approximately 150 employees. Requires a degree in Public Administration or a related field. Master’s degree preferred. Engineering background desired. Five years of progressively responsible and complex experience in local government management; and three years of supervisory/management experience. Broad experience in the operation and long-term planning for both water and wastewater utilty systems desired. Equivalent education, training and managerial experience will be considered. Must possess a valid Oklahoma driver’s license within 30 days of employment and have a satisfactory motor vehicle record. Selected applicant must pass a drug test.
