Financial news and information site WalletHub compared 182 U.S. cities using 28 metrics related to health, safety and economic well-being to determine which cities have the neediest populations in 2021. Data used for the metrics came from a variety of federal, local government, nonprofit and private sector sources. You can learn more about WalletHub’s methodology for the rankings by clicking here.
