Stress is a reality of life. However, the COVID-19 pandemic has only heightened the stress levels of Americans across the country. A Kaiser Family Foundation poll found that 39 percent of U.S. adults said that coronavirus-related stress and worry has negatively impacted their mental health.

Nevertheless, the residents of some cities experience stress more than others do. Financial news and information site WalletHub compared 182 U.S. cities using 42 metrics concerning work stress, health and safety stress, financial stress and family stress. Based on those comparisons, WalletHub determined the most stressed and least stressed cities in America.
