The wastewater treatment plant in Kerman recently saw a $6.7 million upgrade, which included two 75-foot clarifiers, a sludge digester, additional ponding basins, a new oxidation system and headwork screening, pumping systems and a screw press. To cover the higher electricity costs, Kerman installed solar photovoltaics - a solar installation providing clean energy, cost savings and jobs.
