Municipal Leader of the Year Entry Form


Nominees for the Municipal Leader of the Year are judged on major accomplishments, why the efforts were important to the community, and when they were completed. The winner is profiled in the November issue.

Eligibility

All elected officials, department heads or employees working for any city government in the United States are eligible. There are no restrictions on who can submit a nomination.

Nomination Instructions

  1. Complete the nominee’s contact information.
  2. List the nominee’s major accomplishments since January 2011 and when they were completed. Please include why the efforts were important to the community. Remember, this is an annual leadership award, not a lifetime achievement award.
  3. Complete the nominator’s contact information. If your nomination is selected as a finalist, we will contact you for additional details in mid-August. Further, the individual responsible for submitting the winning entry will be notified in September. The Municipal Leader of the Year will be profiled in American City & County’s November 2012 issue.

Selection

We will evaluate all nominations received by the deadline and select several nominations as finalists. If your nomination is selected as a finalist, you will be contacted to provide further information. At that time, nominators can, if appropriate, send other supporting material, including newspaper or magazine articles, and photographs. The material will not be returned.
