Government, education, and nonprofit agencies looking to enhance their direct mailing capabilities and processes now have access to mailing and postage solutions through National Joint Powers Alliance (NJPA).

Following a national competitive solicitation process, NJPA has awarded contracts to Neopost and Pitney Bowes in the category of “Mailing and Postage Equipment with Related Software, Accessories, Services, and Supplies.”

Between the two contract awards, NJPA members throughout the U.S., and Canada have access to postage meters, mailing and shipping software, inserters, sorters, openers, folders, postage printers, and more. The products can help increase efficiency and accuracy in mail processing.

“We’re pleased to offer our members contracts with two of the leaders in the postage processing industry,” said Tom Morgan, NJPA contract administrator. “Neopost and Pitney Bowes provide a great selection of equipment, services, and software to meet the unique needs of government, education, and nonprofit entities.”

The contracts, achieved through solicitation #041917, took effect May 17, 2017. According to NJPA, the contracts will streamline the equipment and service acquisition process, saving NJPA members time and money. The contracts were competitively awarded on behalf of NJPA current and potential government and education member agencies. Go here for more information.

Compliance clock is ticking: Community water systems have one year to complete a Service Line Inventory
In about 12 months, the Environmental Protection Agency (EPA) will expect all public water systems to have completed a Service Line Inventory, which is a complete accounting of the material of every service connection in the public network that delivers drinking water. The main purpose of the regulation (Lead and Copper Rule Revisions, or LCRR) […]
  • Adding resilience to roads without reconstruction
In Vermont this summer, torrential rains caused flooding of historic proportions, washing out roads or covering them in feet of mud. And in some coastal areas, sea level rise is making ‘sunny-day’ flooding a twice-monthly occurrence when the moon’s cycles pull tides higher. Often, the hardest hit areas during such extreme weather events are communities’ […]
