LED street lamps deliver uniform lighting (with related video)
Choose from three models of RSW LED Street Luminaires that deliver comfortable, uniform and dark-sky friendly LED lighting for roadway applications. The streetlights are from Cree, Inc. They complete the company’s portfolio in the RSW Series. This first generation of LED streetlights delivers LED energy savings and reliability in preferred color temperatures.
The three models join the initial launch of the small form factor design. They replace high-intensity discharge fixtures of 70-100W HPS, 150W HPS, 250W HPS and 400W HPS. The RSW Series offers a unified solution for towns, cities, states, and utilities. It addresses streetlighting needs from driveways to interstates.
The lamps feature the manufacturer’s WaveMax technology to deliver uniformity, color quality and efficacy. The RSW Series luminaires perform at up to 115 LPW at color temperatures of 3000K or 4000K and a Color Rendering Index (CRI) of 80. The energy-saving lamps provide visual comfort, reduced glare and high-quality street lighting for roadways. The series is also smart-city ready, enabled by a standard NEMA 7-pin socket.
“Cree’s RSW Series ensures customers now have the opportunity to utilize warmer color temperatures for their streetlighting needs without sacrificing LED performance and energy savings,” says David Elien, Cree senior vice president of lighting.
The housing on the series is designed for easy installation and long-life durability. The design also mitigates light pollution. The lamp is designed to meet challenging roadway and streetlighting applications. It is suited for municipalities, cities and departments of transportation.
Cree is a provider of lighting-class LEDs, lighting products and semiconductor products for power and radio frequency (RF) applications. Cree delivers LED technology that transforms the way people experience light through interior and exterior LED lighting solutions.
