NEOS Outdoor Electronic Play System from Playworld Systems (with related video)

NEOS Outdoor Electronic Play System from Playworld Systems (with related video)

NEOS Outdoor Electronic Play System from Playworld Systems is ideal for playgrounds, schoolyards, parks and community spaces.

NEOS, from Playworld Systems, is an outdoor electronic play system for all ages. With flashing lights and sounds, the system is a multi-sensory experience combining the speed and reflex action of video games with the movement of aerobic exercise to create high-energy activity for the play space. The play system is available in three options: NEOS Wall, NEOS 360, and NEOS Ring. Each play system offers multiple, high-thrill games for solo or team players. Every game presents a different set of challenges as players race each other — or the clock — to hit the blinking lights.

Designed for developing quickness, agility, hand-eye coordination, physical strength and stamina, the system has been shown by an independent study by the Geisinger Center for Health Research to stimulate activity levels equivalent to jogging or playing soccer, raising heart rates an average of 20 percent. Built for players of all ages and every play space, the system has applications for playgrounds, schoolyards, parks and community spaces.

Each play structure is built with heavy-gauge steel clad in thick, rotomolded plastic covers. All elements are lockable, weatherproof and vandal-resistant. The buttons are durable enough to withstand the rigors of public play spaces, yet sensitive enough to respond to light touch. The play space can be designed around available power systems. Each play system operates on low-voltage power, which can be supplied from a transformer or a solar power system.

Playworld Systems, a third-generation family-owned company headquartered in Lewisburg, Pa., has been designing and customizing commercial recreation and playground equipment for more than 30 years. The company has reduced its carbon footprint, including eliminating PVCs and enhancing its waste management and recycling programs. Playworld Systems states that it is the first major U.S. playground manufacturer to remove 99.999 percent of PVC from its products.

The company has received awards through the years, including two International Industrial Design Excellence Awards, a gold medal from International Design magazine, two News Directors’ Choice Awards on Early Childhood, and the Pennsylvania Governor’s Award for Safety Excellence. Playworld Systems was a consultant to the Architectural and Transportation Barriers Compliance Board (Access Board).

Product Highlights:

  • Combines high-energy activity with a multi-sensory experience.
  • Creates outdoor games that connect players of all ages.
  • Has applications for playgrounds, schoolyards, parks and community space.
