Mobile phone safety-device adapter
Once activated on a user’s mobile phone, the Guardian contacts police with the touch of a button whenever the user feels unsafe. Officers at the station or with smartphones are alerted of either a “watch-me” or emergency occasion, as well as sender information (including a photo, emergency contacts and most recent location) to facilitate a fast, effective response. Before entering a potentially dangerous situation, users set a timer estimating the length of time before they reach safety; even if no message is sent during that period, the Guardian will alert police if the timer is not turned off. As a software-as-a-service product, the Guardian requires no hardware or software installation.
