Nominations for URISA’s GIS Hall of Fame end May 1
The Urban and Regional Information Systems Association's GIS Hall of Fame recognizes individuals who lead in the use of GIS technology.
The Park Ridge, Ill.-based Urban and Regional Information Systems Association’s (URISA) GIS Hall of Fame recognizes individuals who lead in the use of geographic information system (GIS) technology. Until May 1, URISA is accepting nominations for the GIS Hall of Fame.
Nominees must have at least 25 years of sustained professional involvement with GIS, have made original contributions to the field, be well known and respected by a wide range of peers, and consistently demonstrate sound professional and personal ethics. Nominations can come from any profession, not necessarily from those with past or present relationships with URISA.
