Last fall, Loudoun Water in Loudoun County, Va., opened The Aquiary, an indoor/outdoor educational facility that describes drinking water treatment and delivery, source water protection, water conservation and water reclamation. Set on 20 acres near the county’s new water reclamation facility, the attraction and its designers, Vienna, Va.-based Lewis Scully Gionet, received an award in December from the Potomac/Maryland chapters of the American Society of Landscape Architects.
