The Ditch Witch 1330 is a compact, low-maintenance hydraulic drive model that boasts a reversible digging chain for dislodging rocks or spoil caught in the chain. Features that boost the unit’s reliability include: a hydraulic oil cooler that requires minimal hydraulic fluid, according to the manufacturer; and a direct drive (not electric) hydraulic cooling fan. A bronze pivot bushing extends service life. The trencher features a 13-gross-horsepower (9.6-kilowatt) Honda GX390 gasoline engine. The unit can trench to depths of 36 inches (915 millimeters), with trench widths to 6 inches (150 millimeters).
