The 2008 Water Utility Compensation Survey is available now from the Denver-based American Water Works Association (AWWA). The survey includes data for water and wastewater professionals from more than 1,000 organizations across the country and reveals that, overall, salaries in the field increased an average 4.2% in the last year, which is higher than the 3.7% increase in 2007. According to the survey, top utility executives report an average salary of nearly $122,000.
The complete report is available for purchase at AWWA’s bookstore. It is $299 for AWWA members and $450 for non-members.
