The Washington-based American Institute of Architects’ (AIA) Center for Communities by Design is seeking applicants for its 2009 Sustainable Design Assessment Team Program (SDAT). SDAT is comprised of multidisciplinary teams of professionals who work with local officials to devise long-term sustainability plans.
The architect-led teams of volunteers can include urban design professionals, economic development experts, land use attorneys and others. Nov. 14 is the deadline to apply, and an RFP can be downloaded from http://www.aia.org/SiteObjects/files/09_SDAT_RFP_FinalVersion.pdf.
