Geospatial organizations form a coalition
Several national geospatial organizations have formed the Coalition of Geospatial Organizations (COGO) to improve communication between the groups, provide educational information on geospatial issues and facilitate the development of strategies to address those issues.
COGO member organizations include Aurora, Colo.-based Geospatial Information & Technology Association (GITA); the Washington-based Association of American Geographers and the Park Ridge, Ill.-based Urban and Regional Information Systems Association. The Washington-based National Association of Counties, Arlington, Va.-based National Emergency Numbers Association, Denver-based Western Governors Association and Chicago-based American Planning Association are advisory organizations to COGO.
More information on COGO, which is calling for participation by other interested organizations, is available at http://www.urisa.org/cogo.
