Water, water everywhere
Bristol, Tenn., and Bristol, Va., have contracted with Fort Washington, Pa.-based Severn Trent Services to operate and maintain the cities’ joint sludge wastewater treatment plant.
Santa Fe, N.M., has contracted with Englewood, Colo.-based CH2M HILL to design and build the Buckman Direct Diversion Project water treatment plant. Prescott Valley, Ariz., also has renewed its contract with the company to operate and maintain its water system, which includes a 3.75-million-gallon-a-day wastewater treatment plant, 250-mile collection system and reclaimed water and recharge system.
Johnson County, Kan., Wastewater has contracted with Lenexa, Kan.-based George Butler Associates to help engineer new gravity sewers.
The Palmdale, Calif., Water District has contracted with Pittsburgh-based Calgon Carbon Corp. to supply carbon for its water treatment plant.
The Providence, R.I., Water Supply Board has purchased infrastructure coordination software from Beverly, Mass.-based Envista to facilitate its 15-year plan to replace all of the lead service connections in more than 25,000 pipes.
