A majority of local and state IT professionals say their agencies are complying with at least some new identity management requirements placed on state and local governments by federal authorities, according to a survey released in March by Aliso Viejo, Calif.-based Quest Software.
72%
of survey respondents said identity management would increase in importance over the next five years.
53%
said national security concerns should supersede personal privacy as a priority.
50%
said Congress should provide more funding to agencies to develop and implement identity management systems.
