Gary Layda, photographer for Nashville, Tenn., took this photo of the new Cumberland River Pedestrian Bridge. The 700-foot bridge celebrated its grand opening on May 3, 2008. Designed by Chicago-based Consoer Townsend Envirodyne Engineers and built by Brentwood, Tenn.-based Bell and Associates Construction, the bridge connects the 1,150-acre Shelby Bottoms and Shelby Park to the 384-acre Two Rivers Park.
