Drill pipe comes in many sizes to serve underground construction
Ditch Witch pipe teams up with horizontal directional drilling (HDD) equipment used to create underground bores for pulling utility pipe. Choose from many types to fit manufacturer’s HDD equipment. For instance, Power Pipe consists of high-strength steel tubing that balances stiffness with flexibility. Provides sufficient rigidity to maintain thrust during changes in direction. Available with Fluid Miser II lining, which enhances interior of each pipe joint to reduce drilling fluid volume by up to 60%. In addition, lining reduces internal rust and spillage during pipe breakout. Selection also includes All Terrain (AT) pipe, by which a strong drive rod turns inside an outer pipe to efficiently transfer power to the cutting head. Another style, Upset Forged End (UFE) pipe, features a thickened shaft wall at each end and a composite design to enhance strength and abrasion resistance of both the pipe and tool joints.
