PERI to hold infrastructure policy symposium
The Fairfax, Va.-based Public Entity Risk Institute (PERI) will hold an online symposium on the conflict between environmentalism and homeland security in the creation of infrastructure renewal policies. The free symposium, “Infrastructure Risk and Renewal: The Clash of Blue and Green,” is scheduled for Jan. 14-18.
Blue represents the drive for more security to protect the nation’s infrastructure, while green represents the environmental and sustainability movement. Several experts will present papers they submitted for the symposium, and the symposium’s moderator, Washington policy and management consultant Lewis Perelman, has developed a concept paper for the event that is available at www.riskinstitute.org. Enroll for the symposium at the same address.
Symposium participants will receive e-mails with links to the papers presented on each day of the conference, and they will be able to post comments and questions during the event.
