Commonwealth of Massachusetts contracts for IT staffing solutions
The Commonwealth of Massachusetts recently awarded an Information Technology Staff Augmentation Contract (ITS33) for 2007 through 2009 to Atlantic Associates Inc. (AAI), based in West Roxbury, Mass.
AAI has worked with the Commonwealth as a preferred vendor for the last 9 years. The new statewide contract, valued at $4 million to $6 million, replaces the previously issued contract (ITS23).
Public entities throughout the state can tap into the contract to obtain IT technical specialists such as help-desk support, computer programmers, project managers and executive-level positions.
Qualified users include authorities, cities, towns, municipalities, counties and other political subdivisions of the Commonwealth, as well as judiciary branches, commissions, institutions of higher education, public-health hospitals and nonprofit social-service organizations. If designated in writing by the state purchasing agent, other states and eligible entities also can use the contract to obtain IT staffing services.
As part of the bidding process for the contract, AAI received top rankings for customer satisfaction, professional experience and cost of service among staffing companies in the region, based on an audit conducted by Dun & Bradstreet.
According to the company, AAI has one of the industry’s highest temporary-to-permanent placement records. More than 95 percent of AAI’s temporary-placement personnel receive full-time employment if a position becomes available.
