Organizations plan summit on IT in health care
The National Association of Counties (NACo) and the Public Technology Institute (PTI), both based in Washington, and the Lexington, Ky.-based National Association of State Chief Information Officers (NASCIO) are co-sponsoring the Summit on Health Care Information Technology. Scheduled for Jan. 30-32 in Atlanta. The summit will address how information technology can improve the delivery of health care.
Seminars on the use of technology to track disease outbreaks, assist emergency medical crews and keep records will be held during the summit. Registration costs $295 for PTI, NACo and NASCIO members and $495 for non-members. PTI also has secured a limited number of rooms for a discount rate of $115 at the Holiday Inn Select near the Capitol Education Center where the summit will be held.
