Weighing only 42 lbs., Iver2 Man-Portable AUV (autonomous underwater vehicle) can transport a variety of sensors. Operates at depths to 300 ft. Uses standard geo-referenced charts from NOAA or USGS, as well as satellite images. Features Windows-based software that permits point-and-click mission planning. Comes with portable, battery-operated WiFi access point for surface communication between a laptop PC and vehicle. WiFi-enabled system lets users download time-stamped, geo-referenced mission data while vehicle is in the water or after project is completed. Includes rechargeable lithium-ion battery packs. On a single charge, batteries can provide a mission duration of more than 10 hours at 3 knots. Also features tilt-compensated, three-axis digital compass, accurate to ±1° at level heading.
