AIA seeks applicants for Sustainable Design Assessment Team
The Washington-based American Institute of Architects (AIA) Center for Communities by Design has issued a request for proposals (RFP) from communities interested in participating in the 2008 Sustainable Design Assessment Team (SDAT) program.
The Washington-based American Institute of Architects (AIA) Center for Communities by Design has issued a request for proposals (RFP) from communities interested in participating in the 2008 Sustainable Design Assessment Team (SDAT) program. SDAT members provide technical assistance and expertise to communities that engage in sustainable planning.
SDAT began in 2005 and has assisted more than 20 communities in developing long-term sustainability plans. The multi-disciplinary SDAT teams are led by architects and comprised of urban design professionals, economic development experts, land use attorneys and others.
Nov. 16 is the deadline to apply for the 2008 SDAT program. The RFP is available at www.aia.org/livable.
