Water, water everywhere
Brookfield, Wis., has contracted with Wheat Ridge, Colo.-based Water Remediation Technology to remove radium from two of the city’s water wells.
Aurora, Colo., has contracted with Denver-based CH2M HILL OMI to design and manage the construction of its Prairie Waters Project, which will pipe purified water from the South Platte River into the city’s water purification facility. Clovis, Calif., also has contracted with the company to build a new sewage treatment water reuse facility.
The Valley Center, Calif., Municipal Water District has contracted with Ewing, N.J.-based World Water & Solar Technologies to build a solar array that will provide electricity for pumping water.
The Oakland, Calif.-based East Bay Municipal Utility District, which serves the eastern shore of San Francisco Bay, has contracted with Atlanta-based Balfour Beatty Infrastructure to construct the Folsom South Canal Connection Project in Sacramento and San Joaquin counties. The project, part of the Freeport Regional Water Project, includes two 100 million-gal.-per-day pumping plants, electrical substations and a flowmeter splitter structure, 3,700 feed of pipeline, and roadways and landscaping.
