Hosted Web Solution Serves Citizens
Salt Lake County, located in Utah, has implemented software and a hosted Web solution to track, route, and manage citizen inquiries and requests across 27 divisions, including the mayor’s office.
The largest county in Utah, Salt Lake County is home to more than one million residents and three dozen agencies that provide nearly 100 services to its citizens. New software technology will allow the county to respond to citizen requests quicker and in a more consistent manner throughout multiple divisions. Citizens will also have the added benefit of checking the status of their requests around the clock via the Internet.
In order to eliminate the upfront capital expense, time and staff resource requirements involved in maintaining an IT infrastructure, Salt Lake County has chosen the hosted, Web-based version of Citizen Response, by Active Network, Inc., making it the largest county customer of the hosted product to date.
The Active Network also serves Salt Lake County and surrounding communities by providing software solutions to more than 23 golf courses, schools, and parks and recreation agencies including Clearfield Parks & Recreation Department, Park City School District and Murray Community Education. Additionally, The Active Network facilitates online event registration for nearly 90,000 participants in over 160 endurance events throughout Salt Lake County including the Salt Lake City marathon, and delivers Web sites, communications and registration tools to over 250 individual sports leagues in the region.
Active Citizen Response empowers organizations to achieve a new level of customer service excellence with a centralized system to effectively track, route and manage all citizen inquiries and requests. The solution facilitates communication and collaboration across an entire organization, eliminates redundant processes and provides peace of mind that issues are resolved effectively and efficiently. Citizens benefit with expanded services and improved responsiveness.
