Cleveland-based Wastequip, a manufacturer of waste and recycling equipment, has acquired Ridgefield, Wash.-based Cascade Containers, a manufacturer of waste containers. Cascade Containers will change its name to Wastequip Washington. Wastequip also has acquired Middlesboro, Ky.-based Mountain Tarp, a manufacturer of covers for truck trailers, dump trucks and containers.
Naples, Fla.-based Neighborhood America, a designer of public comment management software, has acquired locally based MOVO Mobile, a designer of marketing software used in cellular telephones.
Huntsville, Ala.-based ADS, a water, wastewater and hydroelectric services provider, has acquired Birmingham, Ala.-based DWC Technologies, a provider of utility location, mapping and inspection services.
Lenexa, Kan.-based engineering consulting firm Terracon has acquired Greenville, S.C.-based Ground Engineering Solutions, a geotechnical and environmental engineering consulting firm. Terracon also has acquired Bryan, Texas-based engineering consulting firm Spencer J. Buchanan Associates and Cincinnati-based engineering consulting firm H.C. Nutting.
