Dallas is working to add some greenery to its hard concrete image. After forming an Urban Forest Advisory Committee and hiring an urban forester, the city now plans to spend $1 million on a survey of its trees to determine their numbers and types, according to The Dallas Morning News. Other Texas cities, such as Houston and Austin, already have taken similar surveys.
